So my wife and I bought our first place, a little 2 bedroom flat in Richards Bay. It’s a face brick, free standing unit and we picked it up for a bargain. We have been staying in a family friends granny flat which was quite luxurious, situated on the golf course and very spacious, but our new little place was a little bit of a downgrade, well at least it felt like that. Anyway we decided to do some renovations and break out some walls to open it up. Here is a couple of picture showing the old and where we at currently.

This is the original kitchen, a little u-shape kitchen that had a small wash up scullery (can’t see it in the picture but it’s on the right)

The lounge is tiny, in fact we couldn’t even fit our couches in properly.

Bashing out the wall between the scullery and 2nd bedroom, which will open up the kitchen and lounge.

Anyway these is just a few snaps of what we had and what we planning to do. As we make progress then I’ll add more pictures.
